A delicious smoked turkey rub recipe that will be your new go-to every time you cook a turkey! It has a key ingredient to help crisp up the skin and the other spices are perfection.

Ingredients

  • 3 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Smoked Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard Powder
  • 2 Tablespoons Kosher Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Black Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Onion Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Rubbed Sage
  • ½ teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Celery Salt

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a small bowl and mix with a whisk, or add to a small sealable bag and shake to mix.
  • Rub all over turkey before smoking.

Notes

Rub the turkey down then allow to sit at room temperature for a couple of hours. The seasoning will sink in a little more and the turkey won't go onto the smoker so cold.
