Tiktok Jam Heart Cookies Recipe

Inspired by a viral Tiktok Jam heart cookies have become super popular. Soft and buttery cookies with a homemade cherry jam heart center.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Frozen Cherries
  • ¼ Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon Lime or Lemon Juice
  • 1 Cup Butter unsalted softened
  • Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 Egg Yolks
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • Teaspoon Almond Extract
  • 2-⅓ Cups 290g All Purpose Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch

Instructions

  • Write instructionsAdd frozen cherries to a small pan and add the sugar and lime juice.
  • Cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes, until most of the fluid has gone and what is left is thickened. Allow to cool.
  • Pass the jam through a blender, or use a stick blender to smooth out.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Add the butter and powdered sugar to a stand mixer bowl, and beat until creamy and fluffy.
  • Add the egg yolks one by one, as well as the vanilla and almond extracts.
  • Add the flour and cornstarch and keep mixing until the mixture has become nice and thick and totally combined.
  • Take about 1 tablespoon of the dough and roll into a ball. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Using your thumb (or the handle of a spoon) press two thumbprints into the dough ball making a heart shaped well.
  • Fill the heart shaped well with cherry jam.
  • Repeat with the remaining cookie dough, leaving about 2" between each cookie.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  • Remove and allow to cool for 10 minutes then transfer to a cooling rack where they can cool completely.
