Tiktok Jam Heart Cookies Recipe

Frozen Cherries

Instructions
Write instructionsAdd frozen cherries to a small pan and add the sugar and lime juice.
Cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes, until most of the fluid has gone and what is left is thickened. Allow to cool.
Pass the jam through a blender, or use a stick blender to smooth out.
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Add the butter and powdered sugar to a stand mixer bowl, and beat until creamy and fluffy.
Add the egg yolks one by one, as well as the vanilla and almond extracts.
Add the flour and cornstarch and keep mixing until the mixture has become nice and thick and totally combined.
Take about 1 tablespoon of the dough and roll into a ball. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Using your thumb (or the handle of a spoon) press two thumbprints into the dough ball making a heart shaped well.
Fill the heart shaped well with cherry jam.
Repeat with the remaining cookie dough, leaving about 2" between each cookie.
Bake for 10-12 minutes.
Remove and allow to cool for 10 minutes then transfer to a cooling rack where they can cool completely.
