Refreshing Southern Sweet Tea

A refreshing sweet tea, perfect for a hot summer day. Easy and economical to make at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 Gallon Water
  • 4 Each Tea Bag Family Size
  • 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Sprig Fresh Mint optional
  • 1 Each Lemon sliced, optional

Instructions

  • Add water to a medium saucepan and bring to a boil.
    1 Gallon Water
  • Turn off the heat then add the tea bags. Cover with a lid and allow to steep for 30-60 minutes.
    4 Each Tea Bag
  • Pour into a gallon jug with the sugar and stir well until the sugar is dissolved.
    1 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • Top up with the remaining water and refrigerate.
  • Serve over ice with mint and lemon (optional).
    1 Sprig Fresh Mint, 1 Each Lemon

Notes

I like to use the Luzianne brand of tea.
1 family size tea bag = 4 smaller single serve bags.
