  • Add 2 Tablespoons of butter to a large skillet, over medium-high heat.
    2 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter

1 Pounds Pork Sausage, ¼ Cup Yellow Onions
  • Add the flour and continue to cook for another 5 minutes.
    ¼ Cup All Purpose Flour
  • Slowly pour in the heated milk, a little at a time, while stirring. Take your time with this step, to avoid a lumpy gravy.
    2 ½ Cups Whole Milk
  • When all the milk is added, add the seasonings and allow to simmer for about 5 minutes, it should thicken up.
½ teaspoon Cajun Seasoning, 1 ½ teaspoons Black Pepper
  • Take one of the biscuits you baked and cut in half. Pour the sausage gravy over the top, and serve (garnish with cracked black pepper and parsley.

Notes

The gravy will thicken more as it cools too, so don't worry that it's not thick enough.
If you prefer your gravy a lot thicker, cook it down a little longer.
