Ingredients

  • 3 Pounds Ground Beef
  • 4 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
  • 2 Each Yellow Onions diced
  • 6 Each Carrots large, peeled and sliced
  • 1 Tablespoon Creole Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 4 Cups Chicken Broth
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 Cups Long Grain White Rice rinsed
  • 2 Tablespoons Fresh Parsley chopped (optional garnish)

Instructions

  • Add the ground beef to a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat until no pink remains. Drain and put to the side.
    3 Pounds Ground Beef
  • Wipe out the skillet with a paper towel and add/melt the butter.
    4 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
  • Add the diced onion and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
    2 Each Yellow Onions
  • Add the sliced carrots, with the seasonings. Cook another 5 minutes.
    6 Each Carrots, 1 Tablespoon Creole Seasoning, 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • Add the veggies to the crock pot, along with the cooked ground meat.
  • Add the chicken broth and Worcestershire sauce.
    4 Cups Chicken Broth, 2 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • Stir and cover. Cook on high for 2 hours.
  • Rinse the rice, then add to the slow cooker. Stir, cover and cook again for another 2 hours on high.
    2 Cups Long Grain White Rice
  • Give a quick stir and keep the lid off the slow cooker. Don't over stir.
    Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.
