This compilation of my favorite Grilled Shrimp and Scallop Recipes really gets me in the mood for summer. I feel like all you need as a base is some olive oil, lemon juice and a gas grill - but the many variations are endless!

Whether you have a gas grill or a charcoal either will work perfectly. If you don't have a grill you could in fact use a grill pan too for these recipes, so don't fret.

Top Tip: A lot of the kabob type recipes will require wooden skewers or scallop skewers. I like bamboo skewers, the best way to ensure they don't burn is to make sure you soak them for a few hours prior.

How many shrimp in 3oz?

Now that's all going to depend on the size of the shrimp. The most common size of shrimp is what they call 21/25. That means for every pound of shrimp there will be between 21-25 shrimp. Therefore, you'll be looking at about 4-5 shrimp in 3oz.

How long does shrimp last in the fridge?

If the shrimp is shelled, then you're looking at about 1-2 days. If the shrimp still has the shell, then it's 2-3 days. It'll be a bit longer if the shrimp is cooked - 4 days.

Can you eat raw shrimp?

It's not recommended as there is a high risk of food poisoning.

Can dogs eat shrimp tails?

No they shouldn't eat the shells or the tails. Due to the sharp edges they could really mess up your dog's intestines.

How long is cooked shrimp good for?

Cooked shrimp kept in the refrigerator is good for up to 4 days.

What do shrimp eat?

Shrimp are omnivores are will eat plants and animal matter. In fact, some species of shrimp will eat from decaying carcasses.
