These leftover turkey roll ups are a fantastic way to use up that leftover Thanksgiving turkey. The cranberry sauce too. Make them deliciously creamy and sweet like below, or even use dressing and make them more savory.

Recipe walkthrough: Instructions

This is an overview of the recipe steps. For more detailed instructions visit the recipe card at the bottom of this post.

  • Step 1: Unroll the crescent dough. Pull free the first triangle.
  • Step 2: Fill with a little of the chopped turkey, some cream cheese and a spoon full of cranberry sauce.
  • Step 3: Repeat with the remaining triangles.
  • Step 4: Lay out on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Step 5: Bake in a preheated oven for 15 minutes, until golden brown.

Make sure the cream cheese is cold so that it doesn't melt too fast.

Recipe variations and substitute ideas

  • Dressing - (or leftover stuffing) a great addition to any turkey roll ups.
  • Turkey gravy - if you're going for the savory option pouring a little leftover turkey gravy over these roll ups is delicious.
  • Sweet Potatoes - I've seen sweet potatoes added to roll ups.
  • Rotisserie Chicken - make them any time of year with any leftover rotisserie chicken you may have.
  • Green Onions - always taste good as a little something extra.
  • Green Beans - why not?
  • Dijon Mustard - Add just a touch to a savory turkey roll up.
  • Swiss Cheese - instead of cream cheese.
  • Pepper Jack Cheese - instead of cream cheese.
  • Mozzarella Cheese - instead of cream cheese - to add to a savory roll up.
  • Cheddar Cheese - instead of cream cheese.
  • Poultry Seasoning - add a little sprinkle.

How to store leftovers

Typically, when you make these roll ups, they're gone as soon as you take them out of the oven.

However, if you do happen to have a few remaining you should store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator, for up to 3 days.

Mel's kitchen notes

Depending on when you cooked the turkey will determine how long you can keep the roll ups for. If you cooked your turkey 4 days ago then you might want to make sure the roll ups all get eaten and not keep them afterward.

I used cream cheese and cranberry sauce for these roll ups. You could make them more savory if you prefer. E.g. using mozzarella and dressing/stuffing.
