- Hot Dogs - instead of cocktail sausages. They'll just be longer.
- BBQ Sauce - try brushing the inside of the pastry/dough lightly with BBQ sauce.
- Sesame Seeds - Sprinkle finished 'pigs' with sesame seeds.
- Crispy Bacon - Instead of the pastry you can wrap with bacon instead. (that's a British Pig in Blanket).

This is an air fryer recipe, so you'll need an air fryer. I have my favorite one listed below in the recipe card (it's an affiliate link).
If you don't have one, next best thing would be a convected oven.

Air Fryer Pigs in Blankets
Equipment
Ingredients
- 12 Ounces Little Smokies cocktail Sausages
- 8 Ounces Refrigerated Crescent Roll Dough
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 350°F.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough sheet. If you have the triangles, cut into 3 or 4 pieces. It's easier with the solid sheet because you can just cut straight lines.
- Wrap around the cocktail sausage and lay seam down on a plate while you prepare the rest.
- Prepare all the sausages.
- Once the air fryer is ready, lightly spray the basket with non-stick spray or line with parchment paper. Line the sausages in the basket so they have about 2" between each other.
- Cook for about 3 minutes then turn. Cook another 3 minutes.
- Remove and repeat with another batch.
